The SDF is a daily visitor levy that supports Bhutan’s environment, culture, public services, and local communities.

• Most adult international visitors pay US$100 per person, per night.
• Children aged 6–11 pay US$50 per night; children under 6 are exempt.
• Different rates apply to Indian nationals and some eligible visitors from Bangladesh.

The SDF is separate from tour, accommodation, and transport costs. It is generally paid as part of the visa or permit process.
